Cystic foci are mostly found in women

Breast cysts including cystic foci are commonly found in old women who are more than forty years old. The cystic foci are mostly seen in women when a sonography is performed. In the case of simple cystic foci that are no potential malignancies but they are available in the form of solid and fluid filled cystic masses. Various types of cystic lesions of the breasts are identified with the aid of cystic foci.

In most cases, the cystic malignant foci were proven to be malignant in 23 percent of the cases. On the other hand, there are intra cystic carcinomas of the breast that are found very rarely and constitute around 0.3 percent of all breast carcinomas i.e. cystic foci of the carcinoma and may be quite large in size at the time of identification of the disease. The cysts are identified into various types based on the sonographic findings of the symptomatic cystic lesions of the breasts.

These findings are then correlated with the pathological results. The treatment plan is also determined based on the location of the cysts. Although breast cancer is a very devastating cystic foci disease in women, they are many who have fought the disease and live on to tell us that cancer is a dangerous disease yet it is beatable. Many books have been written based on breast cancer and ways to cope with the long term treatment. Today, there are many non profit organizations that are involved in the spread of awareness about cancer and how to detect the disease at an early stage.
