Renal adenoma

Renal adenoma is also known as Kidney Papillary Adenoma or Tubulo Papillary adenoma. Historical evidence suggests that the term renal adenoma has been applied to describe the small projections in the tumor, that looked like papillary or tubulo papillary epithelial lining of the glandular tissue.

The tumor was found to be benign with no sign of proliferation. But according to modern methods of defining terms, size is given more importance as compared to histology.

This is a very common form of adenoma found in the human body. According to statistics, it has been found that the renal adenoma is found to be more common in the case of older patients between the ages of 40 to 70. The condition is also associated with an acquired cystic disease which may need a long term of haemodialysis. The renal adenoma is also associated with papillary renal cell adenoid carcinoma.

According to a more modern method of terminology, the renal adenoma is defined as epithelial lesions that have a structure that resembles tubule papillary and measure less than .50 cm with a low nuclear grade.

The treatment of the renal adenoma is based on the imaging of the tumor. But this method of ascertaining the nature and size of the adenoma is inadequate. In this case, more sophisticated technology is applied for the treatment of the disease.

Therefore, it is essential to lead a healthy lifestyle in order to avoid diseases and complications. Web is an important tool when it comes to gaining information about renal adenoma and various methods of treatment of the cancer.

Renal adenoma is very small and is not accompanied by any major complications. Therefore, it is very difficult to detect in the early stages. This form of adenoma is associated with the renal ducts.

The renal adenoma may be benign depending on the stage of the cells in the tumor. In most cases, it is tested for pre-cancerous stage, and this is done by observing the structure of the cells that form the adenoma.

In most cases where, the renal adenoma is in proliferative stage, the cells may show signs of stratification and they are irregular in shape. The adenoma is often associated with the epithelial lining of the renal ducts and causes proliferative activity that leads to malignant renal adenoma.

The epithelial basement membrane may not show any signs of invasion as it grows with the adenomas. The renal adenomas are classified based on the host pathological appearance of the cells that make the glandular tissue. In some cases it is very difficult to differentiate between two types of tumors.

It is very important to identify the type of tumor as it aids in treatment of the disease. The renal adenoma can be benign, pre-cancerous or malignant based on the nature of the adenomas.

The treatment may be prolonged according to the various tests that are conducted on the renal adenomas. It is always useful to get a routine checkup with a specialist if there are any signs of renal cancer. The specialist will ascertain if the tumor is actually an adenoma and then advise on the procedure for treatment.
